What do you consider to be a rant? (On Yahoo! Answers)?

There is no easy way to clarify that an answer or question is or is not a rant. Often a rant will not be deleted merely because the majority of the users in the area agree with it! How do you define a rant? It's easier to classify an insult, don't you think? What do you consider to be a rant? (On Yahoo! Answers)?
Anytime there isn't a question, or the question is not clear, then it looks like the post is merely an opinion, or a rant.

If the ';asker'; takes a negative tone and provides too much detail (as mentioned above), then I would call that a rant as well.

I just found a great example of a rant (or an advertisement, or possibly a scam):

I would say look at the question.

Then look at the details, Does it look like the questioner is providing a large quantity (several paragraphs) of in depth, *ONE SIDED* supporting arguments in a way that it seem like they have already determined the answer and will not be swayed, but rather are intending to sway others to their point of view?

This is likely a rant.
i agree, rants that eveyone agrees with are nto deleted. unfair but that's how it is.

question: wants input from other people

rant: tells other people what you think whtout wantng oppinions/additional info ffrom them.

may rants are cleverly disguesed as questions here, but the truth comes out when the one best answer is picked that agrees with the rant over the 40 that dis-agree.
Insults are easier to define. An answer becomes a rant when the actual answer is less than 50% of the post, and the ';sermon'; is more than 50%. There is much gray area on either side of that, but the answer should always be in the majority.
I am always suspicious that a question is a rant when more information is being provided about the persons position rather than to clarify their question.
